First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests a new type of CT scanner (photon counting CT) that provides extra color-like information to doctors. Researchers want to see if this extra detail reduces the need for follow-up tests and improves accuracy in staging lung cancer. About 1,000 people suspected of having lung cancer will be scanned, and their results will be compared to standard methods. The goal is to make diagnosis faster, cheaper, and more precise.
