First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether shining a special light (photobiomodulation) on the calf muscles could reduce spasticity (stiffness) in children with cerebral palsy. Twelve children aged 2 to 18 received either real light therapy or a placebo treatment once a week for two months, alongside their usual care. The goal was to see if this safe, painless approach could improve muscle tone and movement.
