First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tests a light-based treatment (photobiomodulation) to reduce chronic swelling in the head and neck area in people who have finished cancer treatment. About 150 survivors will receive either real or placebo light therapy to see if it eases their lymphedema. The goal is to confirm if this FDA-approved approach for arm swelling also works for head and neck swelling.
