First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether two phone calls during the first three rounds of chemotherapy could improve the emotional well-being of patients with breast or colon cancer. 274 patients were randomly assigned to receive either standard care or additional phone support. The goal was to see if these calls reduced anxiety, depression, and other mood issues, and helped manage side effects.
