Summary

This study tested whether phloroglucinol, a drug that relaxes smooth muscles, can shorten the active phase of labor in pregnant women. 134 women aged 18-35 with a full-term pregnancy (over 37 weeks) took part. The main goal was to measure how long labor lasted from diagnosis to full cervical dilation.
