Summary
This study tested whether a drug called phloroglucinol can safely shorten the active pushing phase of labor. Researchers enrolled 134 pregnant women to see if the drug helps the cervix dilate faster without harming the mother or baby. The goal was to see if this active approach leads to better outcomes than simply waiting.
