First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding regular pharmacist-led education and support to usual diabetes care helps patients with type 2 diabetes better control their blood sugar. 122 adults in Nigeria took part, with half receiving standard care and half also meeting with a pharmacist for medication guidance, lifestyle advice, and follow-up. The goal was to see if this extra support improves HbA1c levels, medication adherence, and quality of life.
