Phone Check-Ins by pharmacists ease recovery pain after heart device surgery
NCT ID NCT06748482
Summary
This study tested whether adding pharmacist consultations to standard care improves pain management after pacemaker surgery. 60 patients were split into two groups: one received standard care, and the other received standard care plus phone check-ins from a pharmacist at home. Researchers measured pain levels, medication use, side effects, and quality of life over 10 days to see if the extra support helped.
