This study tested a new mobile app called Petit Cactus that uses photo recognition to help people with type 1 diabetes count carbohydrates. 73 participants used the app for 3 months to see if it improved blood sugar control and was easy to use. The goal was to make daily diabetes management simpler and more accurate.
