New scan could pinpoint elusive hormone tumors

Summary
This study is testing a type of PET scan called 18FET to see if it can better detect hormone-producing pituitary tumors when the standard MRI scan is unclear. It will enroll about 30 adults with these tumors, either newly suspected or returning after previous treatment. The goal is to see if this scan can accurately find the tumors to help guide treatment decisions like surgery or radiation.
