First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special type of PET/CT scan can help doctors see how well treatment is working for a serious fungal lung infection (invasive pulmonary aspergillosis) in people with blood cancer. 51 patients were enrolled. The goal was to see if the scan could detect improvement earlier than standard methods. The study did not test a new treatment, but rather a new way to monitor the infection.
