NCT ID NCT06477159

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking pancrelipase (CREON) for 6 months can improve symptoms of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) — a condition where the pancreas doesn't make enough enzymes to digest food — after an attack of acute pancreatitis. About 60 adults with confirmed EPI and bothersome symptoms will receive the treatment. Researchers will track symptom changes using surveys and lab tests over 30 and 180 days.
