First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a custom 3D-printed guide during shoulder replacement surgery leads to more accurate placement of the implant compared to the standard freehand method. About 112 adults with shoulder arthritis will be randomly assigned to one of the two techniques. The goal is to see if the personalized guide reduces complications and improves long-term outcomes.
