Custom shoulder guides aim for better surgery results

NCT ID NCT03839758

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study compares standard shoulder replacement surgery to a method using a custom 3D-printed guide made from the patient's CT scan. The goal is to see if the guide helps the surgeon place the new joint more accurately, which could lead to fewer complications and better long-term outcomes. About 112 adults with shoulder arthritis will take part.
