Gene test could make Kids' pain meds safer after spine surgery

Summary
This study aims to create a personalized pain relief plan for children aged 10 to 21 undergoing spine fusion surgery. Researchers will look at specific genes to see how they affect pain relief and side effects from opioids. The goal is to reduce risks like breathing problems and nausea, and improve pain control. 300 children will participate to help tailor safer, more effective pain management.
