First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested a personalized brain-training method called PRISM neurofeedback in 19 adults with major depression and anhedonia (loss of pleasure). Participants were randomly assigned to receive either real or sham (fake) training. The goal was to see if the therapy is safe and can reduce symptoms, and to find simple ways for clinics to match the therapy to each person. The results help guide how to combine this brain training with standard depression care.
