Tailored support aims to help sleep apnea patients stick with treatment
NCT ID NCT05246449
Summary
This study tested whether a personalized care plan could help people with obstructive sleep apnea use their CPAP or APAP breathing machine more regularly. Over 100 patients in Portugal who were newly prescribed the therapy were randomly assigned to receive either this tailored support plan or standard follow-up care. The main goal was to see if the personalized plan improved how many hours per day patients used their machine after three months.
