New study aims to predict radiation success for rare spine tumors

NCT ID NCT06463262

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study is looking at 40 adults with chordoma, a rare tumor of the spine or skull base. Researchers want to see if a simple blood test (ctDNA) and special scans (radiomics) can predict how well the tumor responds to radiation therapy before surgery. The goal is to find better ways to measure treatment success without relying only on tissue samples.
