Summary
This study tested whether a personalized, potentially shorter course of antibiotics is a safe and feasible alternative to the standard 10-day treatment for women with uncomplicated kidney infections. It aimed to see if patients could stop antibiotics sooner based on their symptoms, with the goal of reducing overall antibiotic use. The trial was a small pilot study to determine if a larger, more definitive trial could be successfully conducted.
