Computer model guides heart procedure in bid to stop irregular heartbeat
NCT ID NCT04101539
Summary
This study tested whether adding a personalized, computer-guided ablation technique to the standard heart procedure could better control a persistent irregular heartbeat called atrial fibrillation. Researchers used a special heart scan and computer modeling to find specific problem areas for each patient. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the standard procedure alone or the standard procedure plus the new personalized ablation targets.
