New disc implant offers hope for back pain sufferers

Summary
This early study tests a new artificial disc called PerQdisc in 5 adults with chronic low back pain from a single damaged disc. Participants must have tried at least 6 months of other treatments without success. The goal is to see if the implant safely reduces pain and improves daily function.
