ICU study probes hidden effects of common treatments on tiny blood vessels
NCT ID NCT06384287
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at how common ICU treatments—like fluids or drugs that raise blood pressure—change blood flow in the small vessels near the skin. Researchers will measure skin blood flow and capillary refill time in 180 adults with acute circulatory failure. The goal is to understand these effects better, not to test a new treatment.
