New hope for stomach cancer patients: drug combo before surgery shows promise

Summary

This study is for people with stomach cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen. Researchers want to see if giving the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel before and after stomach removal surgery can help patients live longer and have fewer side effects. About 30 adults will take part in this phase 2 trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
