Nutrition boost before surgery may cut complications in colorectal cancer patients

Summary

This study tests whether giving oral nutritional supplements along with a personalized diet before and after colorectal cancer surgery can lower the risk of complications and improve recovery. About 190 adults scheduled for minimally invasive colorectal cancer surgery will take part. The goal is to see if better nutrition around the time of surgery leads to fewer problems like infections and faster healing.
