New implant mimics natural tooth movement using leftover tissue

NCT ID NCT07302581

First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This early study tests a new type of tooth implant that uses the patient's own leftover tooth tissue to help it fuse with the jawbone. About 6 adults needing a single tooth pulled will get the implant right away. Researchers will check if the implant stays stable, moves like a real tooth, and feels normal over 48 weeks.
