First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new collagen material can help regrow bone lost to gum disease as well as the current standard treatment (a bone mineral graft). About 80 adults with advanced periodontitis will receive one of the two treatments during surgery. Researchers will measure changes in gum attachment and bone healing over 12 months.
