New study finds best cleaner for sick implants

Summary

This study tested three different combinations of cleaning powders and antiseptic solutions to treat peri-implantitis, a gum infection around dental implants. 64 adults with infected implants received one of the treatments every 7-10 days for a month. The goal was to see which combination best reduced gum bleeding, pocket depth, and bone loss around the implant.
