Summary
This study tested if the drug perampanel could help stop a dangerous condition called refractory status epilepticus, where seizures don't respond to standard emergency medications. It aimed to see if adding perampanel could help doctors safely reduce powerful anesthetic drugs needed to control the seizures, potentially shortening hospital stays. The study was designed for adults with these severe seizures and focused on safety and how well patients recovered.
