Summary
This study looked at whether pentoxifylline, a drug used for other conditions, can reduce inflammation and slow kidney disease in people without diabetes. 42 adults with moderate to severe chronic kidney disease took part. The goal was to see if the drug could lower certain markers of inflammation in the blood.
