New study tests better pain relief for hip replacement patients

NCT ID NCT07502248

First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at two ways to manage pain after hip replacement surgery. One method numbs the front of the hip joint, and the other adds numbing to the back. The goal is to see if using both together provides better pain relief. About 40 adults having hip replacement will take part, and their pain levels will be tracked for 24 hours after surgery.
