Magnetic fields plus bladder cocktail: a new hope for chronic pelvic pain?

NCT ID NCT06013449

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy to a standard bladder medication cocktail (heparin and bupivacaine) can better relieve pain and symptoms in women with Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS). Twenty female adults who already receive bladder instillations will use a PEMF device during their treatments. The goal is to see if the combination reduces pain more than the medication alone.
