New combo therapy aims to fight recurrent head and neck cancer

Summary
This study looks at whether adding the drug pembrolizumab to targeted radiation therapy can help people whose head and neck cancer has come back or who have a new tumor in the same area. About 86 adults who cannot have surgery will be randomly assigned to get radiation alone or radiation plus the drug. The goal is to see if the combination keeps the cancer from growing longer.
