New combo therapy shows promise for Hard-to-Treat neuroendocrine liver tumors
NCT ID NCT03457948
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab to either liver-directed treatments (like ablation or radiation) or peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) can shrink or control well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors that have spread to the liver and are causing symptoms or growing. About 32 adults with these tumors will receive one of three combination treatments. The goal is to see if the combinations work better than pembrolizumab alone, while monitoring side effects.
