New drug cocktail shows promise for tough stomach cancers

Summary
This early-phase trial is testing a combination of two drugs, pembrolizumab and lenvatinib, in about 15 people with advanced stomach or gastroesophageal cancer that has spread or can't be removed by surgery. Pembrolizumab helps the immune system attack cancer cells, while lenvatinib blocks enzymes that help tumors grow. The goal is to see if this combo can shrink tumors in patients who have already tried other treatments.
