New drug combo shows promise for tough lung cancers

Summary

This study tested a combination of two drugs, pembrolizumab and Imprime PGG, in 35 adults with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that had worsened after first-line therapy. The goal was to find the best dose and see if the combination could slow cancer growth. The study was completed and measured side effects and how long patients lived without their cancer getting worse.
