First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab (with or without axitinib) before surgery could help control advanced kidney cancer. Only 6 people took part before the study was stopped early. The goal was to see if the treatment boosted immune cells in the tumor and shrank the cancer, but results are limited due to the small number of participants.
