New drug trial aims to shrink inoperable colon tumors
NCT ID NCT05131919
Summary
This study is testing whether the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab can shrink locally advanced colon cancers that are too difficult to remove with initial surgery. It will enroll 25 adult patients with a specific genetic type of colon cancer. The goal is to see if the drug makes the tumors small enough for surgeons to operate, potentially avoiding major organ removal.
