First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tested whether combining the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab with precise, high-dose radiation (SBRT) could help people with advanced malignant pleural mesothelioma, a rare cancer of the lung lining. The study aimed to enroll up to 18 adults whose cancer had worsened after standard chemotherapy, but was terminated early after only 5 participants. The main goal was to check safety and find the highest tolerable dose without severe side effects.
