Mind over bladder: imagery videos boost pelvic floor training in seniors

NCT ID NCT07551674

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to do pelvic floor exercises for women aged 65 and older who have stress urinary incontinence (leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, or moving). For 12 weeks, participants will do group exercises twice a week. One group will watch and imagine themed videos (like metaphors) during the exercises to help them learn and stay motivated. The goal is to see if this approach reduces urine leakage, improves quality of life, and helps women stick with the exercises.
