Summary

This study tests a 6-week video program called Reclaim Your Day, where older adults with chronic pain watch peers share how they cope and improve their lives. 100 participants aged 55+ will be randomly assigned to watch either these peer stories or general health videos. The goal is to see if the peer videos are acceptable and help reduce pain interference and boost quality of life.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
peer narrative video intervention (Reclaim Your Day)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a low-cost, accessible way for older adults to better manage chronic pain and improve daily functioning.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage pilot study (100 people) testing feasibility, not effectiveness. The videos may not help everyone, and results may not apply to all older adults with chronic pain.
