Summary
This study looks at whether having a trained peer specialist—someone who has also faced mental health challenges—can help Veterans use mobile health apps more effectively to reduce psychological distress like depression, anxiety, and stress. About 384 Veterans from three VA primary care clinics will take part. The goal is to see how much peer support is needed to make a real difference in their mental health.
