Summary
This small pilot study tested a program where trained peer recovery specialists provide regular support to people receiving medication for opioid use disorder. The goal was to see if the program was practical and well-liked by patients. Thirteen adults who recently started treatment took part, and the results will help design a larger study to measure whether this approach improves treatment retention.
