Can Student-to-Student teaching boost stem cell donor pools?
NCT ID NCT05724459
Summary
This study tested whether a peer education program could improve nursing students' knowledge and positive attitudes about becoming hematopoietic stem cell donors. Researchers enrolled 200 nursing students and randomly assigned half to receive the peer-led training, while the other half did not. The goal was to see if this educational approach could help address donor shortages by better informing future healthcare workers.
