Can Student-to-Student teaching boost stem cell donor pools?
NCT ID NCT05724459
Summary
This study tested whether a peer education program could improve nursing students' knowledge and positive attitudes about becoming hematopoietic stem cell donors. Researchers randomly assigned 200 nursing students to either receive the peer-led training or be in a control group that received no training. The goal was to see if this educational approach could help address a shortage of donors by better informing future healthcare workers.
