First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tested whether using a peanut ball (a small, peanut-shaped exercise ball) during the first stage of labor can help reduce anxiety and pain in first-time mothers. 163 women were randomly assigned to use the ball or not. Researchers measured anxiety and pain levels using standard questionnaires and scales. The goal was to see if this simple tool could improve the childbirth experience.
