First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a peanut ball (a small, peanut-shaped exercise ball) during early labor can help lower anxiety and pain in first-time mothers. 163 women in early labor were randomly assigned to use the ball or not. Researchers measured anxiety and pain levels using standard questionnaires and scales. The goal was to see if this simple tool could make labor more comfortable.
