First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using adult day services (like adult daycare) can lower stress in Black caregivers of family members with dementia. 42 caregivers took part. Researchers measured stress with a questionnaire and also checked stress hormones in saliva. The goal was to see if regular breaks from caregiving help both how caregivers feel and their body's stress response.
