First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at 40 adults who had a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung) to see if those with sleep-disordered breathing had worse short-term outcomes or a higher chance of another clot within one year. Researchers compared patients with and without sleep apnea using imaging tests. The goal was to understand if sleep problems affect recovery and recurrence risk.
