First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a cholesterol-lowering drug (PCSK9 inhibitor) right after a heart attack can help save more heart muscle compared to standard care. About 160 adults having a severe heart attack will be randomly assigned to get the drug or usual treatment. The main goal is to measure heart muscle recovery using MRI scans one week and six months later.
