Could a simple supplement boost fertility in PCOS? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07513480
First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding myoinositol (a vitamin-like substance) to a standard pretreatment with birth control pills and metformin could help women with PCOS and high AMH levels ovulate better. 68 women were split into two groups: one received the standard pretreatment plus myoinositol, the other only the standard pretreatment. After three months, both groups took letrozole to stimulate ovulation, and researchers tracked follicle growth, ovulation, and pregnancy rates. The goal was to see if the extra supplement improved outcomes.
